We only ever aim to do one wedding per weekend so we can guarantee you exclusive use of Penpont from midday on the Friday to midday on the Sunday. This gives you time to create your own style of wedding from arranging flowers to putting up decorations & table arranging.


For numbers less than 80 The Stables are ideal.  There is a dining room with tables & chairs, a commercial kitchen, bar area, party/dance room, and WCs & cloakroom all under one roof.  Please refer to our STABLES page.


For numbers greater than 80 people a tipi or stretch tent can be erected on the lawn in front of Penpont house.

We have hosted many weddings and celebrations over the past years, and we are very happy to work alongside you to make sure that all the finer details are covered, to ensure a memorable and happy day. We offer a personalised service from the initial meeting to the end of the celebration, to ensure your plans are met, and your wedding day is everything that you dreamt it would be.

We also offer the use of the Drawing and Dining Room in the main house, to gather your guests at the start of the reception for a welcome drink and canapes.


Please note that we review all our prices annually. Contact us for terms in future years.


We are now licenced to hold civil ceremonies here at Penpont. We have listed several sites within our Licence. Two are within the main house and two within the Stables. We also have a designated outside area at the front of the house.

Cost for civil ceremony in 2015: £500.00 (this does not include the Registrar's fee)

Our entertainment licence runs until midnight.


The self-catering Courtyard Wing is very convenient for onsite accommodation.  See our accommodation page.

Camping is also available on site utilising our luxurious canvas bell tents & yurts.

Why use a MUTA Member? What's in it for me?

Let’s face it... there are some brilliant marquee and tent hirers out there, and some very poor ones too. The best will build you a first-class structure, keep your stress levels low, manage your on-site risk and be a delight to work with. The worst ones will make your event a nightmare.

MUTA is only interested in having the best companies as members.

Member sign up to a Code of Practice requiring them to be legal, decent, honest and truthful. They are obliged to provide a professional standard of workmanship, to check all their own work, and to maintain public liability insurance of at least £1m, Wedding Tipi Ltd provide up to £10m.

We must follow MUTA's industry-leading Best Practice Guide and submit ourselves to an independent inspection to ensure that we do. Members who fail their inspection are required to make immediate improvements; failure to do so results in expulsion.

If something goes wrong, MUTA members must promptly, efficiently and courteously investigate any complaint. If that process fails, customers can complain directly to MUTA. If MUTA upholds the complaint, members must take the required action or be expelled.
